What is Package Protection?
Package Protection is an optional service that covers your order while it's on its way to you. If your package is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, we'll ensure a swift process of replacing it and refunding it is underway. Enabling it also offsets 100 kg of CO₂ for your shipment, through our sustainability partner Greenspark.
How do I add it, and what does it cost?
You'll find Package Protection in your cart and again in the delivery section at checkout, switched on by default in both places. The cost is shown in your order summary before you pay. If you'd rather not include it, you can untick the box in either the cart or at checkout - it's entirely optional.
What does it cover?
Loss, theft, and damage that happen while your order is in transit. If any of those happen, email support@theschumann.com with your order number and photos where relevant, and we'll do our best to swiftly arrange a replacement or a refund.
Do I need it to get help with a damaged or missing order?
No, we stand behind every order either way. If something arrives damaged, missing, or incorrect, we'll always make it right. What Package Protection changes is speed: protected orders are prioritized and handled on a faster timeline. See Damaged, Missing, or Wrong Items for the full process.
Where does the carbon offset come from?
The offset isn't something we calculate ourselves. It's delivered through Greenspark, our sustainability partner, who run the climate projects behind it. Their projects are vetted and monitored on the ground, and each contribution is tracked, so the 100 kg figure comes from their programme rather than an estimate of ours.
Is Package Protection refundable?
No. Like original shipping costs, Package Protection isn't refunded when you return an order, because it covers the shipment itself rather than the product. See Refunds for a full breakdown of what is and isn't included in a refund.
